Wishing all our past and future guests a Happy New Year. Things already looking better than last year at this time for us, with bookings trebled, wow.  We must be doing something right.  August '18 is already starting to fill up. We’re almost finished with recent round of refurbishments and upgrades; all bedrooms now with [...]

A very busy year

By | 2019-04-13T14:09:54+00:00 November 4th, 2017|Linnhe Croft Holiday Cottages, Lismore, Loch Linnhe, Mountains, Uncategorized|

We had a very busy year with bookings plus some a busy year for the family with graduations of our two daughters with their degrees, travelling up and down the country.  So not as much time spent up at the cottages as we would have liked.  So time now to catch up on Testimonials and [...]

We are getting plenty of bookings earlier than last year.

Last year, in mid-June we blogged that there were 10 weeks of vacancies left during the peak season (June, July and August).  Now at almost mid-March, we only have 12 weeks of vacancies left during the peak season: 3 to 10 June        -  Heather and Fern 10 to 17 June      -  Fern only 17 to 24 [...]

By | 2019-04-13T14:09:54+00:00 March 4th, 2017|Cottage Media, Linnhe Croft Holiday Cottages, Lismore, Loch Linnhe, Mountains, Uncategorized|

Spent the last few days checking things over for upcoming season. Annual Fire Safety checks done, a few odd repairs. Some new lighting, new fridge and new bedroom furniture for one cottage, some new garden furniture for the other cottage. As well as admiring the views in the various weather conditions. View from cottages [...]

By | 2019-04-13T14:09:55+00:00 September 29th, 2016|Appin, Castle Stalker, Family Walks, Linnhe Croft Holiday Cottages, Loch Linnhe, Mountains|

Well a very busy summer for the cottages.  Only a couple of vacant periods, otherwise busy with guests from USA, Germany and all over the UK.  Some very lucky with the weather, others not so.  Even so, people seemed to like the place, see testimonials and picture (courtesy of one of our guests).  I went [...]

Take in a Munro in good weather

By | 2016-05-17T09:25:32+00:00 May 17th, 2016|Glencoe, Linnhe Croft Holiday Cottages, Loch Linnhe, Mountains, Uncategorized|

With such good weather last week, it was as shame not to take the opportunity to climb a nearby Munro.  Taking my eldest daughter along, we drove up the road for about 20 minutes to Ballachulish - just before Glencoe village.  Then walked up Sgorr Bhan and then munro Sgorr Dhearg.  Absolutely stunning views from [...]
